This triple cockpit
runabout was on Lake Arrowhead in California. In the 1950's Mr.
Banks changed it into a new class of race boat that the APBA called
offshore race boat or ocean racer. In California the race was
from Newport Beach to Catalina and back. Mr. Banks fiber-glassed
the bottom and sides. He installed additional frame structure,
and installed a Hollman-Moody 429 double sided-oiler, and added
the cabin structure.
We purchased this boat in 1990 and added a new 502 Panther Marine
motor. We took it to Lake Arrowhead "ACBS" boat show
and won the Chamber of Commerce award.
